Notetaking Express App *** Notetaking Express ***
Some students at the College are provided note taking in certain classes as an accommodation for a documented disability. At Curry College, we utilize the Notetaking Express service to fulfill this need. The service allows for in class recording of class lectures and discussions as well as transcription of the recorded content into a note format. Use of Notetaking Express will allow for instant access to class recordings and access within 48 hours to transcribed notes. Students will no longer have to wait for a peer note taker to be found for their courses! In cases where the use of the Notetaking Express app is not effective in capturing the notes for a class, a student may request a peer note taker for the course. Students who are granted note taking as an accommodation should complete the Request for a Notetaking Express Account form below and indicate which courses you will use the service for each semester. The decision to request note taking for a course should be made in consultation with your PAL instructor (for students in PAL) or the Director of Student Disability Services (for non-PAL students). Once your Notetaking Express account has been requested you will receive an email with additional information on how to access your account. Prior to using the service in class, you will also need to submit a classroom recording agreement signed by the faculty member of each course in which you wish to use the service. If you requested note taking services and no longer need one for a specific course, or all your courses, please email disabilityservices@curry.edu to notify us of this change. | |
