Prior to Your Arrival on Campus: The Office of Disability Services supports students with documented disabilities at the College. In order to ensure that you are able to receive the accommodations to which you are entitled in a timely manner we ask that you complete the following steps: 1. Make sure your diagnostic documentation is up-to-date (must be less than three years old). Individualized Education Program (IEP) and 504 Plans are NOT considered diagnostic documentation; please see the list below for specific information about diagnostic documentation requirements. 2. Submit a copy of your diagnostic documentation to the Office of Disability Services. Documentation must be provided to receive any academic, housing, or dining accommodations, modifications, or auxiliary aids. You may mail, email, or fax your information to: Director of Disability Services (F) 617-333-2990 3. Register with the Office of Disability Services by completing the form on the Registration tab above. 4. Contact Disability Services to set up an appointment to discuss your documentation and accommodations. 5. If you are requesting Housing Accommodations due to your disability, please visit the Housing Accommodations tab and complete the request. 6. Review the various accommodations that are provided by the College to begin to think about which ones are appropriate for you to discuss at your meeting with the Director of Disability Services.

During the First Weeks of Class: Once you have arrived on campus you should do the following: 1. Print your schedule and attend your classes, note which academic accommodations you may want to use in each course. 2. Submit your Request for Accommodation Verification Letters for your courses by completing the form on the Accommodations Verification Letters tab. Disability Services will send you an email with the letters attached once they are approved. 3. Deliver your Accommodation Verification Letters to each of your Faculty Members - you are not able to receive the accommodation until you have delivered the letter to the professor. 4. Contact the Office of Disability Services with any questions or concerns you have related to your disability or accommodations. 5. To ensure your success at Curry College, use the accommodations, auxiliary aids, and academic and student support services that are available to you early and often. |
