Message from the Provost:

Academic Affairs is dedicated to supporting the Curry College Mission "to educate and graduate students prepared to engage in successful careers and active citizenship with a global perspective." Student success - retention, persistence, post-graduate achievement - is our penultimate goal.

Our work in facilitating and directly impacting student success is informed by these principles:

  • In interacting with students, faculty and staff we value transparency, communication and accountability.
  • Professional, responsive service and support for the work of faculty within the context of our shared governance systems is central to achieving our goal of student success.
  • Proactive/Collaboration with multiple offices and constituents across the College community offers an effective way to achieve our Mission.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement, high standards, and program quality, guides our approach to designing and implementing policies, procedures and systems. We are always thinking of ways to improve our curricular and co-curricular experiences to make sure that a Curry education prepares students for our complex and rapidly changing world.
  • Given limited resources, we have a responsibility to be effective and efficient stewards of the College's assets in advancing our Mission.

In an effort to promote undergraduate research and professional involvement by our students, the Provost's office has a limited pool of funds available to support participation by students in conferences and other professional events. Students who wish to request funds must have their request sponsored by a faculty member who would complete the form below with the student. **Please note, given the limited nature of resources, generally the Provost's Office can support 50% of the budgeted costs per student, up to a maximum of $500 per student. **
