| ![]() Academic Credit STUDY AWAY COURSES AND CREDIT Students may earn credit towards their Curry College degree while studying away. As part of the Study Away application process students choose first choice and alternate courses and work with a Study Away advisor and their Academic Advisor to request pre-approval of credit for these courses. Students may request credit towards major and minor requirement through the relevant academic department. Students may also request credit towards General Education Attributes. Elective credits are approved by the Registrar. Study Away Course Approval Request Form at this link General Education- Global and Active Learning Studying abroad for a semester satisfies the Global requirement. Students do not get 6 credits for studying abroad, but rather a waiver for the Global requirement. Alternatively, if students choose not to apply the credits to the Global requirement, if for instance they have already satisfied the requirement or will with courses for credit abroad, they can instead, use the experience of studying abroad to satisfy the Active Learning requirement. No credits are granted with this choose either.
