Library-Faculty Partnerships: LibGuides and Liaisons: RSVP: mryan@curry.edu
Come find out how working with colleagues in the Library can enhance your courses this fall, or take your library collaboration to the next level, through the Levin Library LibGuides and Liaisons programs.

Intro to Blackboard: RSVP: ssmith0707@curry.edu
This Beginner workshop will cover basic Blackboard functions such as: Logging into the system; Navigating the Portal Page; Modifying the course properties; Course Announcements; Attaching and uploading content.

Planning Ahead for Grants and Fellowships:  RSVP: dgifford0209@curry.edu
While successful grant and fellowship applications often require a good deal of preparation, the great news is that much of that can be done in advance!  This workshop will guide you through the most important steps to planing ahead, including identifying your areas of potential interest, finding recurring opportunties, having your CV ready to go, and creating your individual grant timeline.

Tech Topics RSVP: ssmith0707@curry.edu
These will be open sessions to stop by and discuss various instructional technology and design initiatives happening in higher education.

Blackboard Topics: RSVP: ssmith0707@curry.edu
The Blackboard Topics series will cover tools such as:

Advising Fundamentals, Lunch, and Advanced Advising:  RSVP: rmack0710@curry.edu
Come to all or part of this three-part workshop, including lunch.  After lunch, we will be exploring the new Degree Evaluation program.

Learning Disabilities Coffee Talk: RSVP: lfox@curry.edu (requested, not required)
There are more demands than ever to know about weaknesses that interfere with storage and retrieval of information. We'll review the LDR (Learning Disabilities Reference) - thinnest textbook in the field – which covers the most common learning disabilities that college faculty face, especially at Curry where @ 25% of the entering class is in PAL. Strategy talk along the way and then open discussion. This is for faculty only (all levels of experience). Coffee, pastry, and a safe place for questions, thoughts, and feelings. Low key conversation style.  Certificate of Attendance provided.

Classroom Technology: RSVP: ssmith0707@curry.edu
This workshop will be held in collaboration between Media Services and the Instructional Technologist. Topics included will be computer login, using the multimedia (VHS and DVD), and using the SMART Board.  Feel free to stay for lunch/discussion.

Faculty Peer Microteaching: RSVP: chorii@curry.edu
This facilitated session gives you an opportunity to "dry run" a 10-15 minute segment of teaching with a friendly group of colleagues.  Through constructive discussion following each participant's teaching, you'll gain new ideas, perspectives, and strategies.  Feel free to come with part of your first class to teach, something new you're planning to try later in the semester, or anything else.  Come early for lunch/discussion.

Library Tools You Can Use: RSVP: jlawless@curry.edu
Wouldn't it be great if you could easily keep track of your research/teaching references and citations? What if you could generate a properly formatted bibliography--automatically?  And what if you could integrate those great feature with your favorite article searches?  Find out how, with Refworks and Databases!
