Instructional Technology Responsibilities:
- INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN: Employs best-practice instructional design processes to analyze needs, make recommendations, and facilitate implementation of instructional technologies.
- CONSULTING: Consults with faculty and staff in developing instructional uses of technologies.
- TRAINING: Develops and implements a wide array of instructional technology training and professional development opportunities for faculty at all levels of expertise, focused on facilitating student learning and integrating technology with curriculum.
- TROUBLESHOOTING: Develops and implements systems to appropriately and responsively direct faculty questions toward suitable resources, and/or responds as needed.
- MATERIALS & RESOURCES: Develops faculty support and information resources, both digital and print. May also develop creative instructional visuals/images for special projects as needed.
- COMMUNICATION: Publicizes and promotes Instructional Technology services, resources, and activities via multiple forms of media.
- PLANNING/INNOVATING: Researches, analyzes, evaluates, shares, and makes acquisition/usage recommendations for new instructional technologies (software, hardware, and publications). Contributes to formation and implementation of academic technology plans.
- ASSESSMENT: Conducts applied research/assessment on instructional technology use and effectiveness. Monitors the use of instructional technology to ensure that resources and activities enhance academic content and the school’s mission. Makes continuous improvements in key processes, techniques, and procedures related to instructional technology.
