The Excellence in Teaching Committee

1. Charge: reports to the Faculty and:

a. promotes the study and discussion of learning and teaching-related issues among Faculty and students;
b. recommends and allocates funds for library materials that promote excellence in teaching;
c. keeps abreast of current pedagogy and disseminates new information to the campus community;
d. sponsors and supports innovation, discussion, and reforms that would promote excellence in teaching;
e. sponsors forums;
f. participates in the selection of teaching award recipients;
g. supervises and awards stipends for classroom research and disseminates results of such research;
h. secures grant monies;
i. promotes Faculty development; and,
j. collaborates with other institutions and organizations.

2. Eligibility: no eligibility restrictions
