Success elements from research
…self-direction, voluntary, personalized, no evaluation, confidential, shared wisdom, individual interest,
free choice (focus – people – format – time - place), mutual mentoring, reflective practice, adult learning

This is a voluntary professional development program
…based on the philosophy that we are lifelong learners.   We have internal wisdom worth hearing & sharing with colleagues.

You meet with someone of your choice(you ask)
…to talk about something of personal professional interest. There are no boundaries on what that can mean. Discussions are confidential. You can collaborate, coach, mentor, research, reflect, support, plan, ask.
Whatever you choose.

Groups
…are possible, too (professional reading, writing support, etc.). Feel free to start one.

If you’re not sure how to find peer(s)
…please ask (whether you’re newer to campus or not)—an office neighbor; a chairperson, coordinator, or director; a colleague you meet by chance; a dean.

You meet
…5 hours (more if you wish)….at your convenience.

It’s simple on purpose
…Just email me (Laurie Fox, lfox@curry.edu) to say who is meeting with whom.

I respond
…with a few reflective practice guidelines and an evaluation form.

A Certificate of Participation
…for your DEC file will be sent (once eval is returned in spring).

This is a gift
…of time and attention for yourself as an ever-evolving professional.
